Ensuring positive pregnancies with the Lambeth Early Action Partnership
Lambeth Early Action Partnership (LEAP) is an initiative designed to give thousands of young children across the most deprived areas of Lambeth a better start to life. STEMgirls Club: providing the missing link between school and university
Amy Ryman is the founder of STEMgirls Club, a business that provides opportunities for girls to explore STEM careers through weekly engaging and fun challenges. As the Head of Science at a South London comprehensive, Amy became aware that few girls were choosing to pursue extra-curricular STEM activities in comparison to boys. To help address this, she created STEMgirls Club and began a fruitful collaboration with King’s, working with students to engage girls in STEM topics in the classroom.

Tiarna Lee speaks to us about her research on biases in medical Artificial Intelligence, working with Science Gallery London, and her journey from being an undergraduate to a PhD Student at the School.
Tiarna Lee is a PhD student at the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences, King's College London. Her research focuses on evaluating fairness and biases in Artificial Intelligence (AI) used for cardiac imaging. As the STEM community and the public collectively look forward to advances in the field of medical AI and the resulting benefit on patient care, researchers at the School are working to ensure that AI models are trained thoroughly to respond to the unique needs of all patients they serve.

School Work Experience Programme - An Interview with Pamela Taylor-Harris, SLCPS Technical Manager

Part of the Widening Participation Programme, the week-long imitative provides a broad of seminars and practicals in the medical sciences.
