Race equality at King’s

At King’s we recognise there is inequality and racism around us and within our community. As a world leading university dedicated to academic, educational and research excellence, addressing issues of race and fighting racism and racial inequality are central to the university’s mission of ensuring our students receive the highest quality education, and that they and our staff are supported to thrive while serving society and making the world a better place.

We, like our peers across all sectors must fight against racism and the ignorance, intolerance and apathy that allows it to continue.

In reflecting on what inequality means for us and our institution, we recognise that we need to do much more within the King’s community to combat racism and its consequences – here at King’s. We recognise that meaningful and sustainable change has to start with our commitment to fighting the inequality and racism we find around us – whatever our role at King’s.
