Global Partnerships Team

Qatar Central Bank

In 2019 we partnered with the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) to establish The Qatar Centre for Global Banking & Finance. This is a research centre dedicated to the study of central banks and the challenges they face in the global environment. The Centre seeks to develop cutting edge research in three core areas:

  • Rethinking central banks’ mandates, policy frameworks and governance arrangements
  • Understanding new and emerging threats to economic stability, including from pandemics, climate change and financial innovation
  • Developing new techniques for understanding the economic environment and forecasting, including big data and machine learning

QCB is a central monetary authority supervising the banking sector and the implementation of the law to help enhancing the stability of the currency.

ReD Associates

We partnered with ReD Associates to deliver a transformative practical case course for our post graduate students on the methodology of Sensemaking. Red Associates is a Danish consulting firm that puts human science back at the centre of business decision-making.

Mercato Metropolitano

We partnered with Mercato Metropolitano for our Digital Marketing MSc course to have our students deliver social media strategies in response to the different challenges the organisations face. Mercato Metroplitano is London’s first sustainable community market focused on revitalising neighbourhoods and protecting the environment.

Business Consultancy project

We partner with small enterprises and the councils in Lambeth, Southwark and Westminster with our student consultancy project. Now in its fourth year, the project matches undergraduate student consultants with organisations looking for a fresh perspective on strategic issues.

Our students have worked with over 30 businesses and charities to date, helping them to develop plans to tackle some of their biggest opportunities and challenges, from funding future growth, to leadership and management, operational efficiency, data analysis and marketing.

Working with the programme’s academic lead, a former McKinsey & Company consultant with two decades of strategy experience, the students’ support is free of charge, and is part of a formally assessed module.
