Student wellbeing

King’s is committed to supporting your wellbeing and providing supportive services alongside your studies.

We understand that wellbeing can mean different things to each person and at different times. That’s why we have a range of services, which can support you depending on your level of need.

Winter Buddies and Global Lounge 2023

Are you staying in London over the winter break? Would you like to connect with fellow students? Maybe you’d like a free traditional Christmas dinner with your new friends? If so, we’d love to welcome you to join our Winter Buddies or attend our Global Lounge on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 December, 12.00 – 15.00. Last year, over 300 students connected through our Winter Buddies scheme and we're looking forward to welcoming even more of you this winter break.

King’s Pyramid of Support

Our King’s Pyramid of Support illustrates our five levels of support services. You may find that you interact with different levels throughout your time at King’s. At Level One, you can find services to help you to improve your personal wellbeing, from King’s Sport to our Student Societies. These Level One services are designed to help you to thrive and improve your overall wellbeing. As you move up through the Pyramid, our services offer more distinct and specialised support.

The Student Wellbeing Team

If you would like to speak to someone about your wellbeing, you can book an appointment with one of our Faculty Wellbeing Advisors. All our advisors are Mental Health First Aid trained and operate through a Coaching and Mentoring framework.

The advisors can help you to move through any roadblocks you might be experiencing, work with you to create a Wellbeing Action Plan and signpost you to the relevant King’s support services for your needs.
